PurposeFull People

PurposeFULL People is the character education program that Katy ISD has adopted for elementary students. The curriculum focuses on fostering the whole child through social-emotional learning and character development. Each month, the program highlights a certain character trait and provides social-emotional lessons and activities that correspond with that trait. The PurposeFULL People curriculum is incorporated into counselor-led guidance lessons and integrated into weekly classroom instruction with the homeroom teacher.

Additionally, throughout the year, teachers can nominate students who are seen demonstrating any of the PurposeFULL People character traits for a certificate. Once nominated, the student will be recognized in their classroom, receive a personalized certificate, and have their "Positive Referral" on the wall.
