Etched in Excellence: Katy ISD Honors ‘Teachers of the Year’ at Annual Brick Unveiling

KATY, TX [December 2, 2025] – Families, students and staff filled Katy Heritage Park for Katy ISD’s annual Brick Unveiling Ceremony, where the District honored its 2024-25 Campus Teachers of the Year with commemorative bricks installed as permanent tributes to their service.

Teaching excellence forms a foundation of learning students can build successful lives and careers upon. To honor this lasting legacy, each inscribed brick represents the teacher’s enduring impact on students, campuses and the Katy community. This year, 78 educators were recognized with engraved bricks placed along the walkways of the historic park.

“Tonight is about celebrating the educators who represent the very best of Katy ISD,” Superintendent Ken Gregorski said. “It is my privilege to thank each of you for the extraordinary impact you have on our students, schools and community.”

The annual celebration is made possible through a partnership with Venus Construction, Modern Pest Control and the Katy Heritage Society. Together, these organizations help honor the legacy of exceptional educators whose work has defined Katy ISD for generations.

The Tompkins High School Jazz Band opened the event with a holiday performance, adding to the festive atmosphere as families gathered to view the newly installed bricks.

The Brick Unveiling continues to serve as a cherished District tradition, offering a timeless reminder of the dedication, excellence and heart of Katy ISD teachers.
