Pre-registration for 2025-2026 School Year Opens March 31 for All Grades

KATY, TX [March 26, 2025] – For families looking ahead to next school year, pre-registration for the 2025-2026 school year will open on Monday, March 31 for new students zoned to Katy ISD. Pre-registration will close for students enrolling in Prekindergarten on June 20 and students enrolling for grades K-12 on June 27.

New students are those who have never attended Katy ISD schools, as well as individuals who previously attended District schools, withdrew, and are now re-enrolling.

Prekindergarten students must be 4 years of age on or before September 1 to be eligible to enroll in the District, as well as live within the District’s boundaries and meet one of the state’s eligibility requirements.  

Additional registration opportunities for the 2025-2026 school year include the reopening of New Student Registration on July 25 and the annual student enrollment update for all currently enrolled students, which will begin the week of July 28.
