Rodricks Named New Principal of Roosevelt Alexander Elementary

KATY, TX [November 17, 2025] – Alexander Elementary (RAE) parents and community members will see a familiar face as the campus leader. Jeannette Rodricks has been named the new principal, bringing to the role her 14 years of Katy ISD service and proven track record of student success.

Rodricks begins her principalship December 8, 2025, bringing a wealth of experience inside and outside of the classroom. She currently serves as the assistant principal for RAE, where she has established relationships and driven instructional improvement since 2023. Prior to that, she was an assistant principal at Fielder Elementary, a math and science instructional coach at Jenks Elementary, where she was honored as a Lifetime PTA member, and at Morton Ranch Elementary. Her Katy ISD teaching career started at Morton Ranch Elementary where she served as a bilingual teacher.

“Mrs. Rodricks is an exemplary leader who has a passion for providing the best learning environment for every child,” Katy ISD Superintendent Ken Gregorski said. “She has established ties with the Alexander Elementary community and understands its strengths and needs. Her background as an instructional coach, bilingual teacher and mentor are invaluable.”

With 17 years of experience in public education, Rodricks has taught in Houston ISD and in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. She was recognized as the 2024 Katy ISD Districtwide Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year. She was celebrated for driving results across curriculum & instruction, emerging bilingual and special education programs at Alexander. In addition to her campus roles, Rodricks serves as a TEPSA Region 4 District Liaison, was a participant in the Aspiring Principals’ Academy, N2Learning Assistant Principal Leadership Academy and is an influential assistant principal mentor. Her leadership portfolio includes experience in instructional planning, campus operations, safety systems and family engagement.

Alexander Elementary is a school built on the virtues held by our living namesake, Mr. Roosevelt Alexander,” Rodricks said. “Our shared belief that all students deserve an inclusive, accepting school environment is evident in the high achievement of all students. I will continue to partner with all stakeholders to continue the school's long history of academic success.”

Rodricks holds a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of North Texas and a master of educational administration from the University of Texas-Arlington. She is certified in Bilingual Generalist-Spanish education and holds a principal certification.
